I'm signing off from @intersect
Last May, I made a tough but thrilling decision. I left my job as a geeked-out digital reporter to try my hand at social startups.
After a year at Intersect, I know that working in that sweet spot where technology and content meet community is even more exciting and absorbing than I'd thought.
So it's with anticipation, some sadness and lots of gratitude that I've decided to leave Intersect to better explore some new opportunities that have come my way.
Working with the team at Intersect has been such a blast. There's a lot of talent there, and I was lucky to be around it. As for the site's community of users, I loved trading tips, tweets and feedback and following the journeys they charted on the site. It just made work that much more fun.
I'm looking forward to sharing more in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, you can bet I'll be writing, tweeting, Facebooking, Instagraming, Intersecting, LinkedIn-ing, meeting up, etc. etc. ;)

This is Leigh.
Jason and I just left her town home in Redmond with a cool bluewardrobe she listed on Craigslist. As we checked it out in her living room, I saw your face out of the
corner of my eye, on a magazine page tacked to the center of her
bulletin board. "Do you know Melody Biringer?" I asked. "Oh, no," she said. "But I'm so inspired by her story." She likes how you just go, she said. No dawdling, just action.
Entrepreneurship. Risk. Pretty much the exact same things about you
that fascinate and inspire me. I went out to the car for my phone. By the time I got back (and as
Jason helped Leigh's two sons load the wardrobe into the Suburban we
brought), Leigh had taken the page off the bulletin board to look at
it and I took this picture. "She has a fan!" Leigh said. Pretty sure you have many. Keep kicking butt.
